Woman has face melted off during meth explosion, continues producing meth

If there were ever a good reason to not do drugs, or meth in particular at the very least, one need not look any further than Heather Raybon.

This is a picture of Heather Raybon back in 2003, who at this time was a very attractive young woman. A year later she was in a "drug den", most likely a meth manufacturing lab, when it blew up and permanently scarred her face.

Below is a picture of Ms. Raybon in 2006 after the incident:

This goes beyond most of the faces of meth picture comparisons we've seen and is very tragic. A woman's life completely ruined all because she got involved in what is arguably the worst drug possible. It gets even sadder though: Ms. Raybon has recently been busted for manufacturing meth again.

From mykiss951.com:

The 31-year-old had been permanently scarred when a drug den blew up in 2004 but even with her face left a distorted, melted mask she couldn't keep away from the addictive drug.

In the latest incident, narcotic detectives found materials and ingredients to cook up crystal meth, along with 13 grams of meth powder and 32 grams of meth oil. There was such a strong risk of explosion from the one-pot lab that police called the fire department to safely neutralize it.

Now the first thing a lot of people might be thinking is this: how could someone go back to the very drug that caused such a horrific injury? But think about it, if you looked like that, what would you do? I'd want to kill myself personally, or at least escape from the world as much as I could and I'd never want to face reality. And that's often the downward spiral these addicts find themselves in: they use the drugs to escape at first, then the drugs ruin their lives even more, and then they're using the drugs to forget about how ruined their lives are....which was caused by the drugs in the first place.

When we see these faces of meth pictures we always wonder: how good must that high be to be able to look at yourself every day deteriorating and then continue doing it? To look in the mirror and see some hideous being that looks like it belongs in a horror movie, and say to yourself "eh it ain't that bad, everything's cool...let's get high today". That's gotta be some high...but no high is worth this.

Case against woman videotaping traffic-stop in front of her house dismissed

On May 12 in Rochester, NY police made a traffic stop that happened to be right in front of Emily Good's home. Emily decided to videotape what was going on while standing in her front yard. Even though Emily Good was well within her rights to stand wherever she damn well please on her own property, Officer Mario Masic demanded that she go back inside. Watch the video:

She was then arrested for not complying. The good news: Today in court the judge dismissed the charges against her. The bad news: officer Mario Masic still has a job. We're pro-police here at People Liking People but we also realize that dickweeds like Mario Masic tarnish the reputation of the rest of the force. It's not rocket science to know that people are allowed to stand wherever they want on their own property. When idiots like Mario Masic can't understand simple concepts like this it makes us wonder how they qualify to be a janitor, let alone police officer.

Let's get to the truth here: Mario Masic was doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing and didn't like the fact that it was being caught on camera. He then made up some bull about not feeling safe as a justification to make Emily Good go away and stop recording what he was doing. Fortunately Emily Good stood up for her rights and she is indeed a hero. The judge agrees that she didn't do anything wrong and anyone with half a brain knows she didn't do anything wrong. Let's work hard as a community to get rid of scum like Mario Masic that ruin everything for the rest of us. People like Mario Masic unnecessarily increase tension between police and community while invading the rights of others.

If anyone has any info on Mario Masic please post a comment, we'll be updating this page as information is received.

Info on Mario Masic:

- Owns a business called Harvest Moon Malamutes where him and a bitch named Jamie have a dog breeding program for alaskan malamutes. Website here.

- He goes by the alias "Trapper Hunter" on Facebook.

- He goes by the alias "yukonhunter" on mapletrader.com.

- His Phone # is 716-799-4500.

- In 2010 he made $75,770.52.

Update: Mayor of Rochester Thomas S. Richards has issued a statement regarding the incident:

"Whatever the outcome of the internal review, we want to make clear that it is not the policy or practice of the Rochester Police Department to prevent citizens from observing its activities — including photographing or videotaping — as long as it does not interfere with the safe conduct of those activities," the statement said.
Score one for the good guys! Now let's get rid of shamed officer Mario Masic and move forward on a positive note.

"Wise Health Insurance" Bullsh** Marketing

Have you heard of Wise Health Insurance? Me neither, until recently. I was reading an article on Yahoo News about how golfer Camilo Villegas was disqualified from the PGA golf tournament for moving debris out of the way while his ball was rolling back towards him. I was bored and combing through the comment section when I see this:

I was told by a friend that something called "Wise Health Insurance" is offering health insurance plans starting just $1 a day. That is some thing we all can agree.

Gee really? Well that's cool and all...but what does that have to do with Camilo Villegas being disqualified? Wait a minute here, is a health insurance company really paying someone to spam the comment section pretending to be some random dude that heard from a friend how great this insurance company is? I mean that can't be true, that's way too pathetic.

So I decided to do a google search on: I was told by a friend that "Wise Health Insurance"
and it turns out that yes this company really is that pathetic.

See the results for yourself. Page after page of bullshit fake word-of-mouth spamming by someone being paid by Wise Health Insurance. The next time someone tells you about a friend that got a deal from Wise Health Insurance, you tell them to shove it up their ass.

Update:

We have reason to believe that this may not just be your normal insurance company that just so happens to be a spammer. We're doing everything we can to investigate this so-called company that calls itself Wise Health Insurance. If you or anyone you know has ever dealt with this company or person who purports to be this company, please let us know about your experience. If you've been ripped off or knows someone who has, please let us know and also contact the authorities. When a company or person does everything they can to hide their true identity, that raises a red flag for us. And there's a difference between someone just selling some T-shirts and an insurance company. We don't need to know everything about the guy selling you a shirt on the corner. You give him $20, you get the shirt and you're on your way. With insurance we're talking about important financial and personal information that's being given out and trust is a much more important factor. So when you have someone asking for confidential information yet hides everything about themselves, that gives us great cause for concern.

Websites owned by this same guy that we know of:

wisehealthinsurance.com
stephenaustininsurance.com
HypersonicWeightLoss.com

Phone numbers used:

512-587-2229 we called, got a msg saying temporarily out of service (512 is Austin TX)
916-218-8317 we called, got a generic voicemail greeting (916 is Sacramento CA)
877-275-0526
877-769-3008

Based on other information, we believe this spammer/possible scammer is originally from the Sacramento area and recently moved to Austin, TX.

Address listed in their domain whois and other places:

700 Lavaca Street
Suite #1407
Austin, Texas 78701

(This is an office building with various businesses)

An internet detective over at dietchoices.com stumbled on this company when they had a weight loss diet scam to gather information on its victims. They found that "the Texas Secretary of State has no records of any current or past entities with names similar to "Stephen Austin Insurance Company" or "Wise Health Insurance." And then added that "the addresses listed are in the 15-story 700 Lavaca building, which mostly rents space to professionals like attorneys and accountants. It is owned by the city of Ausin, Texas, and we are contacting the building managers to try to figure out who is in Suites 1400 and 1407, the two suites listed in various sources for the company.)" We are still waiting work back to see if we can find anymore information about who is behind this all.

All 3 websites are currently down at this moment, which is a recent development. The Wise Health Insurance page and Stephen Austin Insurance site were still up not long ago and are still available to see on Google and Yahoo cache. Combined with their phone lines being down, this appears to be some sort of hit and run operation, where they scam as many people as they can, then take off without a trace. We're attempting to look into this as much as we can and post about it here so others can find it and hopefully be able to provide further information.

Update 2: The Insurance websites appear to be back up, but he's replaced the 512 # with another one:
877-769-3008 under the contact section.

People of the Day: Scientologists

We're introducing a new feature here at People Liking People: People of the Day. Each day, we will showcase a type of person and talk about what makes them so likable. We feel this is a good chance for everyone to learn the importance of respecting one another, as there's something positive about each and every one of us.

Our People of the day for Feb. 25 2009 are Scientologists. Scientologists are often misunderstood, and often times the only thing someone knows about them is that they believe we came from aliens. Well there's a lot more to it than that. Scientologists work, eat, pay their bills, go out and have fun like the rest of us. The difference is that they also spend a lot of their time auditing and giving their money to Scientology.

I want to start by saying that some of my best friends are Scientologists, and they are some of the nicest people I know. Unfortunately many people see their ignorance as stupidity, and want to attack them for believing that a cult is the answer to their problems. At the end of the day though, you have to realize that everyone has something that's a little silly they believe in. Sure, most of us don't pay thousands of dollars as a result of it, but that just shows how committed Scientologists are to something they were lured into truly believing.

It's a common myth that Scientologists are these crazy psychotic people who really need psychiatric help, but have somehow got themselves caught up in Scientology. It's true that a lot of them are unstable people, but often times I've found they really just need a friend. One thing that many people probably don't know is that Scientologists are very good at cooking. My Aunt Susan is a Scientologist, and while we run and hide when she comes over, we all enjoy her brownies after she leaves. Oh, and we don't run and hide because she's a Scientologist. She has irritable bowel syndrome and anal leakage. We have to put sheets down on the couch before she comes down, but she does have a very good personality. One time she saved someone's life because she drove past their house and saw smoke coming out of the building. She immediately dialed 911 and the fire was able to be put out before anyone was hurt.

Scientologists really are great people, but one thing you should never bring up with them is politics. If you know not to go there, you can very easily make friends with a Scientologist.

Scientologists have this program where they send people out to problem areas where people are starving, or where a disaster has just struck. They comfort those people in a time of need. They use a technique called touch assist created by L. Ron Hubbard. I tend to think when he created it he was just looking for an excuse to touch all over the young boys and girls in the Church, but today it has many legitimate uses and has helped people all over the world.

We hope you have learned some things today; next time you see a Scientologist don't be afraid. Just be friendly and talk to him as if he were just a regular human.
